Chelsea porcelain fluted bowl. Kakiemon pattern


An early Chelsea porcelain fluted bowl, c. 1753. The crysanthemum moulded bowl enamelled in the Japanese Kakiemon style with a tiger and a dragon in iron red with gilt highlights, amongst flowering plants. A single flowerhead to the interior.
The recessed base having three spur marks.
Diameter - 7.5 cm, 3". Height - 5 cm, 2".
Condition - Two chips to the rim. Some typical wear to the enamels. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.
