Chelsea porcelain basket, c. 1755.


A Chelsea porcelain basket, c. 1755. The interior finely painted with a large spray of flowers, with a smaller sprig. The exterior, osier moulded, and applied with flowerheads at the intersections, beneath a brown line rim. Having a basket weave footrim.
Three stilt marks to the base.
Diameter - 17.2 cm, 6 3/4”.
Height - 6,7 cm, 2 5/8”.
Condition - Typical chips to some flowerheads. Minor wear to the enamel. Otherwise perfect condition. No restoration.

Medium: Porcelain.

Signed/Inscribed: Stilt marks to base.
