Bronze okimono of a Samurai by Akasofu Gyoko

A fine Japanese mixed metal okimono, by Akasofu Gyoko, Meiji Period, c. 1890. Cast as a Samurai holding aloft a large crystal pearl. Patinated in various bronze alloys, with the details of his attire heightened in gilt. He wears a detachable katana, and holds a detachable naginata in his left hand.
Set upon a hardwood stand.
Inscribed signature on a gilt tablet.

Medium: Bronze.

Condition: Excellent original condition. No repatination. No damage. No restoration.
