Masons Ironstone Cider Mug, ‘Table and Vase’ Pattern, circa 1815

Masons Ironstone, a large cider mug, circa 1815. The over sized, moulded mug, printed and painted in the ‘Table and Vase’ pattern with a large vase, upon an artemisia leaf, next to an exotic bird, beneath flowering plants. The interior with a band of floral scroll. Applied with a large dragon moulded handle.

Height 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Width 21 cm, 8 1/4”.
Depth 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.

Condition – Short firing fault to rim on the seam. Typical wear to the overglaze enamel. No restoration.
