A rare Tournai porcelain mustard pot and cover, c. 1770. The barrel shaped pot, painted in underglaze blue, with a basket of flowering plants, in Kakiemon style, and having a moulded ā€˜Cā€™ scroll handle. Having a similarly painted cover, with a loop finial, and an indentation, to accommodate a spoon.
Height – 9 cm, 3 1/2ā€.
Width – 8.5 cm, 3 3/8ā€.
Condition – Hairline crack to cover – please see images for detail. No restoration.
