A Liverpool pottery, pearlware tea caddy and cover, c. 1790. The arched caddy, painted in underglaze blue, with sprays of flowers, beneath a band of moulded acanthus leaf, to both sides. The domed cover similarly painted, and having a tear drop finial.
Covered in a pearlware glaze.
Height – 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.
Width – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Depth – 5.3 cm, 2 1/8”.
Condition – Small chip to rim of cover – please see image for detail. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.
