A fine Japanese bronze and mixed metal vase, Meiji Period (1868-1912). Signed Yamamoto zo, and Koken. The bronze vase, onlaid in silver, shakudo, and other mixed alloys, with cranes in flight, above further cranes wading along a river, amongst plants. The details finely rendered, with the feathers particularly well delineated. All upon a russet patinated ground.
Engraved signature to reverse and base – Yamamoto zo (Made by Yamamoto)山本造 and Kōken 幸扇.
Height – 24 cm, 9 1/2”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
