A Chelsea porcelain basket, c. 1755. The interior finely painted with a large spray of flowers, with a smaller sprig. The exterior, osier moulded, and applied with flowerheads at the intersections, beneath a brown line rim. Having a basket weave footrim.
Three stilt marks to the base.
Diameter – 17.2 cm, 6 3/4”.
Height – 6,7 cm, 2 5/8”.
Condition – Typical chips to some flowerheads. Minor wear to the enamel. Otherwise perfect condition. No restoration.
