A Japanese Kenjo Imari shaku- zara, c. 1700, Genoroku Period. Decorated with a central panel of a Temple garden, surrounded by a border of panels of further gardens and plants, upon an iron red red ground, decorated with gilt flowerheads. The outer rim decorated with a continuous wave motif.
The reverse of the dish decorated with karakusa style vines, and a choji, clove mark, within a double ring. Four spur marks, and unglazed footrim.
