Minton biscuit porcelain ‘Greenwich Pensioner’

A Minton biscuit porcelain figure group, the ‘Greenwich Pensioner’, c. 1835. Finely modelled, seated, wearing a tricorn hat, and smoking his pipe. Having a buckled shoe, and a fitted ‘peg leg’. To his side, is a pedestal table, upon which stands a jug of beer, a beaker, and his tobacco pouch.
All set upon a rococo scroll moulded base.
Incised model number ’24’ to the base.
Height – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8″.
Condition – Some staining to the base. Otherwise in perfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
