Worcester porcelain bowl. ‘Pu-Tai’ pattern.

A rare Worcester porcelain bowl, c. 1765. Painted in Chinese famille rose enamel style, with the Pu-Tai’ pattern. The monk seated before a rock, and having two female attendants. All upon a ‘Herring bone’ moulded ground.
The interior with a leaf painted over a firing fault.
Diameter – 15.4 cm, 6″.
Height – 7.8 cm, 3″.
Condition – some typical wear to the enamel. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.
