A rare Copeland porcelain cabinet plate, c. 1855. Finely painted to the centre, with a titled view of ‘Peterhead’, Aberdeenshire,Scotland. Two figures on the hills with a panoramic view of the town, the lighthouse, and ships in the bay. The moulded border, with oval pierced scrollwork, heightened in gilt.
Printed Copeland factory marks, and titled ‘Peterhead’ in iron red enamel.

Typical minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise in perfect condition. No restoration.

Diameter – 22.5 cm, 8 7/8″.
